Affiliated Family Counselors is proudly woman-owned and led by Darcy Buehler, PhD, who has dedicated her life to uplifting others. With over 25 years of counseling experience, she brings deep compassion, clinical expertise, and unwavering support to every individual who walks through her doors.
Her journey began in 1992, and since then, she has been a cornerstone in Kansas’s mental health community. A proud native of Great Bend, Kansas, she has always felt a deep connection to the people and values of her home state. She earned her degrees from Kansas State University, Wichita State University, and the University of Kansas, completing her Ph.D. with a focus on counseling and human behavior. Her work is not only rooted in academic excellence but also in an authentic, heartfelt desire to help people heal and grow.
AFC is known for maintaining the highest standards of care while offering a discreet, comfortable environment. We are deeply committed to helping individuals overcome challenges such as anxiety, grief, and life transitions, with a results-oriented approach grounded in both compassion and proven techniques.
Darcy and Affiliated Family Counselors are proud supporters of Midwest Battle Buddies, a nonprofit that connects veterans with service dogs, and enjoys giving back to causes close to her heart. When Darcy isn’t working, she finds joy in playing piano, writing, and watching her granddaughters play lacrosse. At Affiliated Family Counselors, Darcy and the entire team are dedicated to providing thoughtful, personalized care to every client—we take pride in creating an environment where people feel respected, supported, and truly understood.
Our facility is conveniently located in Wichita, Kansas, in the Wilson Estate Office Park at 1855 N. Webb Road.
We work with numerous insurance providers and will gladly file your insurance claim if you choose.
